Arrive 10 minutes early

Appointments run to a designated time schedule.
If you are late, your class time will be shortened.

Children need time to prepare for swimming. It is important to teach children to play safely and live BESIDE & AROUND water!

Snacks and dress before class

Some children prefer to have a quick snack before class but remember that children can feel lethargic and get sick if they eat too much before swimming so please keep snacks light.

Dress children for swimming WHEN you arrive (not BEFORE) so children know we only swim when dressed in swimmers and only when parents are around to help with getting dressed.

*Older children should go to the toilet BEFORE class*
*Children under 3 years must wear swim nappies*

Shower - before & after Class

Once dressed for swimming, please shower just BEFORE class. Wait beside the pool: Never let a child enter water before you, please enter the water only when the teacher invites you In (for safety reasons and to be fair to the class in the water)

AFTER class, please shower children in warm water and dress as quickly as possible. Parents - shower yourself in cooler water after swimming as it will restore your skin Ph levels quickly.

What to do after Class...

Exercising in water is 12 times harder than on land but still feels refreshing and great whilst in the water! However, after class, children may feel tired so try to schedule some down-time or a sleep after swimming. They will often need to drink or eat more after class so please bring a small snack. Parents - keep hydrated by drinking cold water after class.
